Job Board Specialist Becomes UK's Regional Number 1 | 25th October 2010
MyJobGroup.co.uk celebrates Hitwise recognition as regional prominence grows
A job board specialist was today celebrating the news that it not only offered the UK's largest network of job sites but its sites were now the most visited for those looking for vacancies in a given location. MyJobGroup.co.uk revealed that it had been independently recognised by Hitwise as the market leader in job boards covering more than 80 per cent of the UK.
The company, which operates over 300 job boards across England, Scotland and Wales, revealed that it now officially offered the most visited sites for job seekers looking for work in key cities, towns and regions across the UK.
Searches for jobs in major cities including Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds, Newcastle and Liverpool all drove more traffic to their respective MyJobGroup.co.uk sites than to any other job board.
The same trend was replicated across the regions with key areas including the South West, Scotland and the North West, amongst others, all driving the most jobseeker traffic to MyJobGroup.co.uk sites (full details listed below).
Monitoring of the job boards, which was measured over a 12-week period, was undertaken by web traffic experts Hitwise, whose accreditation has firmly placed MyJobGroup.co.uk at the top of the regional job board market in the UK.
In total, MyJobGroup.co.uk sites were top in 51 regions and cities, covering more than 80 per cent of the UK, with some attracting more than 50 per cent of all jobseeker traffic across the three-month period.
Lee Fayer, Managing Director of MyJobGroup.co.uk, said: "We are delighted to announce our place as the UK's number 1 regional job board network. Our decision to focus on geo-specific boards which enable candidates to source relevant jobs and clients to source relevant candidates, has been well and truly vindicated by the latest accreditations from Hitwise.
"Our national network of regional job boards is now resoundly outperforming our competitors when it comes to location-specific job searches and our mantra of 'Local is better' will no doubt be recognised by clients and candidates alike.
"Whilst we're delighted with the news, we're not going to rest on our laurels. As the recovery continues to take hold across the UK, we are ideally placed to capitalise on the growth in vacancies and jobseekers and we are considering further additions to our 315-strong network of job boards."
